This is a self portrait from my first art show in Indianapolis. I started to paint this after I sold my first painting off of my website. The painting happen to be in my ICON series of Jean Michel Basquiat which is my favorite artist. I wanted to pay homage to Basquiat and his unique child like style of painting. Mookie was my childhood nickname my dad gave me.
