"This self-portrait represents my intimate connection with the concept of mortality. I firmly believe that this relationship has profoundly influenced my artistic expression and the way I navigate the journey of life. I can vividly recall the pivotal moment when I decided to embrace the title of 'Artist.' It stemmed from the realization that art has consistently been my refuge during challenging periods. It was my sanctuary once more as I grappled with the loss of my mother at the age of 22. Painting became my anchor, saving me in a sense. It was on that very day that I resolved to immortalize my mother's memory through the graceful depiction of elephants in my art. I am embarking on a journey to rediscover myself as an artist, with a newfound sense of purpose not only for my art but also for my own well-being."
